  • What are the additional fees on top of monthly rent?

    We strive to make our pricing as transparent as possible, and each additional fee will be clearly stated in your rental agreement.

    Additional fees include:

    - Administrative Processing Fee: $4
    - Valet Trash: $25
    - Amenity Fee: $5
    - Pest Control: $2
    - Boiler Management Fee: $13.75
    - Water: Based on usage and billed in addition to your monthly rent
    - Electric: Based on usage and residents will need to create a utilities account with Austin Energy
    - Pet: If applicable, $20 per pet
    - Reserved Parking Space: $50
  • What do I need to qualify for an apartment?

    We're thrilled to hear you want to apply! Each resident must meet certain criteria, including rental, credit, and criminal history checks, as well as employment and income verifications.

    After you have finished your application, you will receive a confirmation email with preliminary approval. To make your approval final, the office team will need a copy of each occupant's photo identification and pay stubs or W2s to confirm income requirements.

  • I've been approved, what's next?

    Congratulations and thank you for choosing Marq Uptown as your new home!

    Once approved, you will receive a Welcome Home letter from our team with a checklist to complete before moving in. Action items include:

    1. Electronically signing your lease
    2. Setting up your resident portal account
    3. Paying move-in fees and deposits
    4. Sending our team confirmation of your utilities accounts and renters insurance
    5. Setting up your move-in appointment.

    We will stay in contact with you throughout this process and are available to answer any questions that you may have to make your move as smooth and easy as possible.
  • My move-in date is coming up, what's the move-in process?

    Welcome Home to Marq Uptown! Before your move-in date, we will ensure all required action items have been completed as outlined in the Welcome Home letter. We will then set up a move-in appointment. On your move-in date, we will give you a move-in packet with need-to-know information, hand over your keys, and you can begin moving in!
  • As a resident, where will I park? What about my guests?

    Thanks for your question!

    Residents with a studio or one-bedroom apartment will receive one parking permit, and residents with a two-bedroom apartment will receive two parking permits to park in the parking garage behind the security gate on a first-come, first-serve basis.

    Residents may also lease a reserved parking space for $50 per month.

    Guests may park on the first floor of the parking garage outside the gate or on the street.
  • As a resident, how will I receive packages?

    We are delighted to announce that we have a Luxer Package Room, which is accessible 24/7! FedEx, UPS, and Amazon packages will all be delivered and stored in this room. Each resident will be assigned a unique code to enter the package room and retrieve their items. USPS packages, on the other hand, will be delivered directly to your mailbox. Should a package be too large to fit in your mailbox, the postal carrier will leave a slip notifying you to collect it at the Post Office located at 2700 Speedway.
  • What school district is Marq Uptown in?

    Students at our community attend Austin ISD schools. Depending on their grade level, students will go to Lee Elementary, Kealing Middle, or McCallum High School.
